Match your resume to a job description

Paste your resume and the target job description. We score the fit against the same rubric ATS use, surface which required skills you cover vs miss, and — where available — pull 3 live sample jobs from our index that share your skills.

How the match score works

The score weighs required-skill overlap (45%), nice-to-have coverage (15%), seniority alignment (15%), years-of-experience fit (15%), and general text overlap (10%). Same algorithm Emplirao runs behind the CV-to-jobs matching in the dashboard.

Nothing is stored. Both texts are analyzed server-side, the result returns, and the raw content is discarded.

How to read your match

  • 75+ — strong match. If required skills are covered and years-of-experience aligns, apply.
  • 50–74 — moderate match. The gap is usually 2–4 keywords or a seniority-level mismatch. Tailor the bullets, close the keyword gap, apply.
  • Below 50 — the JD is asking for something structurally different. Either the role is a stretch, or the JD keywords are misaligned with what your CV actually shows.

Questions people ask

Does this replace ATS software?

No — it approximates what ATS keyword filters look for. The score is a directional signal, not a guarantee of getting past a specific company's ATS.

Why only 3 sample jobs?

The free tool shows a preview so you can see the value. The full list of matching jobs from our live index is unlocked with the Emplirao trial.
